Welcome to my new blog. I've been thinking about this for a while and just like my writing, I mull over the idea for a bit before it becomes a real thing. So here I go. I'm going to give it a try.
Here's the plan. I have three basic categories for writing. The first is Author Journeys. Here I'll share about my children's books, including stories behind the story, writing processes, as well as trials, tribulations, and successes along my way to becoming a children's book author. In this category, I hope to include some guest author posts too. This category is for those interested in my books, my adventure of becoming an author, or simply authors and their writing journeys.
The second category is Step Up Reading Time. Posts in this category will be for parents, grandparents, teachers, and caregivers of young children, say ages 2-7. My goal is to share easy to implement ways to strengthening children's reading and writing abilities during reading time.
Finally, because while I'm walking, driving, working in my garden, and so forth, topics come to mind and I naturally start thinking on how to put those thoughts into just the right words, my third category is I Was Just Thinkin'. These posts could be on just about any topic as my mind seems to wander.
Anyway, I'll try to share posts that are informative or entertaining and worth spending a few minutes of your time to read.
