I Was Just Thinkin' about Blogs
As I spend a few hours learning about and setting up my blog site, I have to ponder on why I want a blog in the first place. So I made a list of whys - and organized them by category.
Author Journeys
- Because it's fun to write about and share stories behind a story or a character. It makes the book so much more fun to read.
- Because I want to provide a platform where other authors can share about their writing, their author journey, or stories behind one of their books.
- Because when successful authors advise us new authors to get started blogging, I listen. They should know.
Step Up Reading Time
- Because I want to support literacy learning for young children.
- Because I worked with middle school students who continued to struggle with reading. I know the importance of getting a good foundation for reading early.
- Because I'll never stop being a teacher. I still have lots of ideas in my head.

- Because I like to write short ramblings - even if just for me.
